Recharter Day - December 3, 2011
Step 1
- Pick-up your unit's Recharter Packet at the October
roundtable.
Step 2
- Schedule a recharter appointment through Eric Steindorf
(EricSteindorf@hotmail.com
678-587-8811) for the Saturday, December 3 Recharter Day to turn
in the completed paperwork and payments. Recharter Day will be at
the offices of Rapid
Learning Deployment, LLC, 1775 Woodstock Road, Suite 300. This
is about a mile west of the Super Target on Highway 92 on the west
side of Roswell. It is just past Leita Thompson park on the right.
Step 3
- Schedule a recharter appointment with your committee
chair, your Charter Organization Representative and the head of
your Chartering Organization (this is different than your COR) to
review your paperwork and get the necessary signatures. This appointment
must be before you submit your recharter paperwork.
Step 4 - Complete the
Recharter Worksheet. Things to remember...
-
Complete the on-line rechartering process.
-
Get the appropriate signatures
on the paperwork,
-
Complete the Journey to Excellence Quality Unit
award and any other paperwork in the Recharter Packet. We will
endorse your Quality Unit application and return it to you so
you can pick up your unit's patches from the Scout shop. This
is much faster than having the district order them.
-
Note that the Journey To Excellence Program replaces
the national Quality Unit and district Honor Unit programs.
-
Godsend and District Award of Merit nominations
are due to Eric Steindorf (EricSteindorf
@ hotmail.com)
-
Please update your unit's Yellow Page entry by
Recharter Day. See the Membership
page for your current Yellow Pages entry and the update
form.
-
We will also need the date of your unit's 2012
Friends of Scouting presentation (typically Pack Blue and Gold
banquets and Troop Courts of Honor).
Step 5
- Turn in all your paperwork and payments at your recharter
appointment. Bring 3 signed, blank checks to cover the various fees
as the payments do not all go to the same place.
